On our way to Morropon. It is a beautiful, green little town nestled at the base of a mountain range. There is quite a bit of agriculture here and lots of little farms scattered about. There is sugar cane, bananas, coconuts, various vegetables and we are not sure what else.
As we were going thru the toll booth we passed a truck hauling sugar cane. It is all processed to make fuel, no sugar.
The further away from Piura the more "green" you start to see and the mountains.
Gardens down below and the mountains in the distance.

Morropon has the prettiest little plaza with beautiful flowers. We took our fair share of flower pictures.

If there is a central plaza there is almost always a catholic church too.

Entryway into the plaza
Just a block or two from the plaza are some colorful stairs that take you to a lookout over the city.
Good bye Morropon!
